CHRISTY METALS PROPOSITION 65 STATEMENT

Revision 01/03/2020

Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, better known by its original name of Proposition 65

Proposition 65 requires the State to publish a list of chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. This list, which must be updated at least once a year, has grown to include approximately 960 chemicals and elements since it was first published in 1987. Christy Metals is a distributor of metallic raw materials that other manufacturers produce. Since metals or their alloys are made to the alloys ASTM/AMS specification that our customers define, the customer is the one that ensures that the alloy and their ASTM/AMS specification that they are requesting from Christy Metals meets all customer and governmental performance and regulatory requirements. As a courtesy to our customers, we have included the most recent “List” for substances identified by Prop 65. http://oehha.ca.gov/prop65/prop65_list/Newlist.html Please refer to the Certificate of Compliance that accompanies all shipments to verify chemical content.
